ABA Therapy at Community, Home, & School in Northern VA
Improving your child’s life skills is an ongoing practice, not something contained in a clinical setting. That’s why our team at Language Bridges ABA Therapy creates specialized treatment plans that address all areas of your child’s life. Our plans include practices that can be conducted at home, at school, and even ABA therapy at community in Northern VA. Contact us today to get the process started and set your child up for greater success socially and academically.
Working with Our BCBA
Every patient we meet is a unique individual, and we treat them that way. When you first meet with our Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA), they will conduct an initial assessment to determine the specific services needed for the learner and develop a treatment plan. Then, a Behavior Therapist will be assigned to your child’s case and work one-on-one with them, following the treatment plan developed by the BCBA.
The BCBA will also conduct weekly parent training sessions and supervision for ABA therapy at home. Our goal is to ensure continuous progress and consistent quality of care, so the BCBA will provide feedback and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
Getting Started with Language Bridges ABA Therapy
Whether you come to us for ABA therapy at school, at home, or elsewhere the basic process for getting started remains the same. Review the steps below, and contact us with any questions.
1. Get a formal autism diagnosis from a developmental pediatrician, psychologist, or pediatric neurologist.2. Complete the Language Bridges ABA Therapy intake process and onboarding paperwork.3. Our BCBA schedules an initial meeting with you and your child. During this meeting, they will conduct an initial assessment to determine the behaviors to decrease and opportunities for improvement in communication, socialization, and functional skills. Afterward, the BCBA will create your child’s individualized treatment plan.4. We contact your insurance provider to get authorization for ongoing services.5. Once we receive insurance approval, we assign a Behavior Therapist (BT) to your case, and treatment begins. The BT provides one-on-one ABA therapy at home or in the community, depending on your preference. They implement the skill acquisition programs and behavior reduction plans as directed by their BCBA supervisor.6. Meanwhile, the BCBA conducts weekly supervision sessions to ensure high-performance standards and oversee and manage treatment implementation.7. The BCBA will also conduct weekly parent meetings to update you on progress, share the data, and provide ongoing support and training.8. The BCBA can also collaborate with schoolteachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure progress is achieved in different settings.
